At Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity we love to see churches put their faith into practice. That's why we are so encouraged to see our local churches come together to help families in the community. The homes pictured above represent 24 churches in the Colorado Springs area. The home on the far left is being completely built and funded by First Presbyterian Church located in Downtown Colorado Springs so the Grants can provide a stable dwelling-place for their four children. The home in the center, in the early stages of its construction, is the Apostles' Build house. This home has brought 13 churches of different denominations and experiences together to finance and construct a place where the Merzlikina family can finally call home. And in the photo, to the far right, is the Thrivent Builds house - an initiative by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. In this case, Thrivent has assembled members of 10 local Lutheran churches to fully financially support and build a home for Becky Phipps and her two children.
