Pikes Peak Habitat’s Top 10 for 2010

- We plan to serve 15 new families in 2010.
- Three homes will be rehabilitated for Habitat families this year.
- The ReStore – Habitat’s building supply store – will use over 100 tons of recycled materials, which will keep them out of our landfills.
- We will be hosting our first-ever Singles Build Day on February 13! Know of any singles that would like to participate? Contact Jenny.
- In April, we will begin building our 100th home! Mortenson Construction is the builder, and we are so excited to reach this milestone at PPHFH.
- Mark your calendars! June 12 is our 8th Annual Hike for Habitat at America the Beautiful Park.
- Our friends from Bike & Build are coming through Colorado Springs for the second time to help build a Habitat home. One group will build June 26 and the second group will build July 3 – July 10.
- On September 15, we are hosting an event with Home Depot that will include 500 volunteers helping build homes in Colorado Springs.
- Builds planned for 2010 – Youth United, USA Build, Mitchell House (a home being built by high school students for Habitat) and our fourth Thrivent Build.
- An estimated eight homes will be built in Egypt by Pikes Peak Habitat.
