Paul Johnson- Executive Director

Paul joined the staff at Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity as the affiliate's first Executive Director in March of 1997. Before joining PPHFH, Paul received a BA in Political Science from California State University and his MS in Health Service Administration from Saint Mary’s College in Moraga California. He was employed in the hospital business for twenty-five years in Oakland California starting as a Radiation Technician and progressing to the position of Associate Administrator.

Since becoming Executive Director, Paul has facilitated a "Women’s Build" home, the "Blitz Build," in which we built an entire house in 13.5 hours, and "Bike & Build" project. He has also augmented community partnership by growing relationships with local businesses, churches, foundations, and individuals. Paul is proud that PPHFH has built close to 90 houses since its inception, benefiting many individuals in Colorado Springs.  Under Paul's leadership, the affiliate currently builds 8 homes a year for deserving families in need. 

Paul is married to Penny, and has two children. His daughter, Melissa, lives in New York City, and his son, Matt, lives in California. In addition to working with Habitat, Paul enjoys hiking, traveling, swimming, and playing tennis. He also serves as the Chairman of the City Planning Commission.

 

Jordan Bridwell- Development Director

Jordan joined Pikes Peak Habitat in February 2007 with a diverse background in nonprofit management and consulting. After graduating from Southern Methodist University in 2001, she was a teacher for young adults with disabilities for two years at Notre Dame School of Dallas. Then Jordan was selected to be part of El Pomar Foundation's fellowship program in Colorado Springs.

 

After the two-year fellowship was complete, Jordan fulfilled a long-time dream when she moved to South Africa to work for His People Christian Church in Bloemfontein for a year and was co-founder of the Mangaung Community Foundation. Upon her return to the US, Jordan enjoyed nonprofit consulting assisting organizations with strategic planning, fundraising, leadership development, special events, research, and board development.

 

Although still passionate about Africa, Jordan is happy to be back in beautiful Colorado Springs. She is pursuing a Masters in Business Administration at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and volunteers with Women of Global Action, the Rocky Mountain Women’s Film Festival, and Cornerstone Group Homes.  

 

 

Nikki Richardson - Development Associate

Nikki joined Pikes Peak Habitat in October 2009 after moving to Colorado Springs from Tulsa, Oklahoma. She graduated summa cum laude from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural communications. In Tulsa, she worked as an account coordinator at the oldest and largest public relations agency in Oklahoma, where she specialized in writing and editorial services, event planning and media relations. She is passionate about people and helping those who need it most. Nikki and her husband, Michael, made the move the Colorado Springs to be surrounded by the mountains and to take advantage of the outdoor activities.

Nikki enjoys sports, photography, hiking and spending time with her dog, Cheyenne.


Kim Pattison- Family Services Manager

Kim joined Pikes Peak Habitat in March 2007 after graduating from Wheaton College with a B.A. in anthropology.  She is excited to be returning to beautiful Colorado after three years in the midwest.  When she's not at work and not combating any broken bones, she can be found doing Irish step dance or hiking.

Jenny Trawick- Volunteer Manager

Jenny joined Pikes Peak Habitat in September 2008.  She graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2006 and spent a year teaching Algebra 2 at a High School in San Antonio, TX.  The Youth United project is giving her the chance to work with youth again, and she’s very excited about it.

 

She is also excited to be living in Colorado after 24 years in Texas.  She enjoys exploring the state, the beautiful weather, snowboarding, and hiking with her Border Collie Molly.
